Do Your Best

Come on, crazy aloha shirts, squinting from sunscreen in the eyes, showering off the brilliant, productive sweat of hard work, popsicles, that first red tomato.
Bring it on.
Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please.
Do your best.

It's late afternoon in the Ross Valley, hot and clear: looks like you get your wish, today, with more to come!

I know you can't wait much longer.

Erk, summer, it's the long downhill slide to summer here apparently *sigh*

Kudzu: We did get a lovely first day of summer here. Cranky bought a bunch of plants at the market yesterday; we're going to pull out the losers that didn't make it through all the gray days and start again.
That's hopeful!

Mouse: I try to look at solstices as a centerpiece, rather than a precipice. It took just as many days to get to summer as it will for it to end. I try to be happy.
And come on. Winter just began for you. Mittens and little pink socks.

Sounds lovely, save me a seat and one of those drinks with the umbrellas in it!

Zia: It is actually behaving properly, meteorologically speaking! Bring it on.

From your mouth to The Bigman's Ears. I'm sick of this Junuary nonsense.

I can't wait for our actual summer to begin. *sigh*

Butterface: Climate Change. Just sayin'.

Biggles: That sounds about right! We got 75 and clear today; Cranky dug holes for veg. plants in the yard. Yesss.

EB: I don't miss a SF summer. There are wonderful days now and then, in the very most secret neighborhoods (Dogpatch). But I had to go to Marin for the sun.
