Special Orders Don't Upset Us

We were sitting around, trying to get up the gumption to make lunch.
Unfortunately, I had woken up thinking of hamburgers.
Worse, the local free weekly paper had a review of our little mini-burger shed, Weezy's. It's just a couple of blocks away from our house, and it's tiny, so take-out is the order of the day.
You should know that today is Birthday Month Eve. So I have it my way, on just about anything, for the next 32 days.
I won't be a ninny, but I did get my burgers.
They are small, so I got two. One plain, to jazz up any way I wanted with the excellent condiment bar offerings. The other, called White Trash... just a Little Mac, really. But good. Good meat, nicely cooked. Goofy pink sauce. Stringy iceberg shreds, and melted real cheese.
And the french fries are superb. Get half white potato and half sweet potato. Dip them in garlic sauce and kiss kissing goodbye.
Smooch!

Keep hearing good things about the place. But for a while that silly old Burger King commercial will sound in my head.;)

Nice. I'll have to look this place off. I like the idea of little burgers, I can eat more of them. Happy early birthday!

Looks like a little chunk of heaven. We'll have to try that next time we venture over your way.

White Trash burgers has got you appetite back. I think that is great because you have not been eating lately.

White Trash in Marin!

Glad the "free weekly paper" didn't steer you wrong! (I trust Jason as long as it's something like burgers.)

I haven't been, yet, but intend to now that it has (shhhhhh) stopped raining.

Let me know if I can help you out on one of those 32 days for something fun to do to celebrate the birthday.

ohmahgah you're KILLing me with the Birthday Month Eve thing, so of course, burgers! Yawp!

how did you feel afterward? Or is that beside the point?

I'm still dreaming about my first burger on my trip back to carnivory: locally raised grass-fed beeve with locally made blue cheese and restaurant-made bun, it was glooorious. Makes me think I should make blue cheese next. Then think about cordoning off some land for some beeves.

(Hey: a girl can dream, as today is two months and a day from my own birthday month.)

Greg: Come on down! You know right where it is, in Scotty's parking lot?
And, Have It Your Way!

Dog: Oh, I think you'd like it. I ate two burgers, and that's really saying something for me. Little appetite and all.

Zoomie: Let me know when you come over!

Chilebrown: My appetite is on the serious mend. I eat three or four meals a day. Doctor's orders, and it's fun!

Kudzu: I didn't mean to dis the Sun! It's just that some people come from farther afield (although not in today's comments, for sure!).
We liked our sliders. Give 'em a try.
And, yes. We are so overdue for an adventure. Let me think of something.

El: I felt fine! It's completely out of normal for me to eat two hamburgers, mini or not. But my digestion has been tip-top lately, and I can't eat enough good food.
Do you really think you could make blue cheese? Meow? Purr? (But stinky beeves? I wouldn't.)
OK, July 1. Something about potato crops, as I recall. I'll be ready to celebrate.

You're killing me here. If I had one I would eat it in about three minutes!

cookiecrumb said...

Kalyn: Maybe four minutes for me. Two of them! Thick patties, real, local, grass-fed beef. Come on out, I'll take you for a couple.

Ooo, the chips sound wonderful. We have a drink we call PWT, I blush to think of if, but do drink it from time to time.

cookiecrumb said...

Mouse: Hah, PWT. Is it made with Coca Cola?
Yeah, the chips are really good. Amazing what a nice job of cooking they do in the space smaller than a one-car garage.

With a burger like this (goofy pink sauce, iceberg shreds), I do prefer American cheese. But dang, you know how to eat burgers RIGHT.

I think a PWT is Coke and peanuts, if I recall correctly.

Looks oh so good. Enjoy a couple for me (since not gluten free). I but the pup the would love one. Mine pups sure would. Probably more than me. Happy MAY!

We had snow here friday morning, but it melted by afternoon. That's colorado

Coke with peanuts? A childhood treat, especially at the swimming pool in summertime. A small bottle of Coke (this was pre-can, folks) and a nickel bag, back when that meant a small packet of salted peanuts for five cents. Open the Coke, pour in as many peanuts as the bottle will hold, and drink. The soggy remains were the best part after all the liquid was drained.

Thanks, Mouse, for the memory!

Heather: Yeah, it was boss!
Cocola and peanuts; I totally wanted to say so, but Mouse is Australian and I was afraid of frightening her.

Kathy: You'd be in luck. This joint serves burgers in lettuce wrappers if you must skip the buns. Come on out!

Kudzu: Yep, that's what I suspected. Doesn't it prevent pregnancy?
