clicky on the picky for big view
There's a little break in the rain, so we're running around trying to think of things to do. Buy food. Eat food. Stuff like that.
I'm dying to work in the garden but we're due for a slicing slash of H2O tomorrow and the next day, and that will leave the earth wet.
The onions don't mind the weather, fortunately.
You can see the whole world in an onion.

What a wonderful photograph!
I agree a cool photo.
Wow, what a great photo. Does the onion plant have the world in its green little hands? BTW, is it possible that you could send some rain to Nashville, and the S.E. USA. We seem to still be having a bit of a drought and water wars now. All the draughts in the state will not help the drought.
I'd hang THAT picture in my new office ;) but will probably just turn it into the puter background pic.
You've really caught a simple, beautiful moment. Thanks for sharing. I love this.
Very, very beautiful. It feels very Dickinsonian (as in Emily).
Hmmm, if you put your ear to it, can you hear the ocean?
Biggles
i really had to stop for a moment and take in that photo. it kind of commanded me to be still and stare and breathe softly.
sometimes the world is so beautiful it almost hurts a little...
(i wanta macro lens)
Zoomie: Just the luck of the weather and the garden... and having the camera handy.
Greg: I thought I had a cooler one, where the water "drop" was a huge loaf-shaped thing... But this was cooler.
Lannae: Gosh, you're still dry? We're getting slathered today and tomorrow; it just isn't fair.
Morgan: You are so nice.
Catherine: Aw... You make me happy.
Kudzu: Quick, something brief and lonely. Rhyming doesn't matter.
Biggles: If you put your ear to it, it goes in your ear.
ceF: I literally just stumbled upon this. Had to run back in for the cam-cam. Squatted down in the mushy grass, and clicked away. (You will get the lens. Save, or hint for a significant gift.)
Simple, yet great. You're so lucky you've seen it first with your own eyes, no lens involved!
Thanks for sharing!
Lore: Yes, I saw it with my own eyes! That was the best view. It's gone now.
ooh I just found your blog. How fantastic, someone else who's eating seasonal, shopping local (and only a little bit crazy...!)
second what everyone else says - photo is fab. Onion-growing is fab too, just planted mine here in cloudy old England. But I'm looking forward to harvesting them later in the year when the sun is shining and I can take my coat off...
keep up the good work

Wow, Sally. You're dead serious! I admire your efforts; my garden is a joke compared to yours. Brava. I have added you to my feed reader.
Woah Mama! Amazing, how fortunate we are that you shared this little gem with us.
Era: I know, what a cute little metaphysical dab in my garden.
wow, I LOVE pics like this one! :) what an amazing moment...
