Right in time for the last day of the year. I know, it's just a number. There are lots of other numbers and lots of other ways of looking at them. But there is no good way to look at this number.
I just interviewed a young man home for the holidays from Iraq. he seemed to disconnected from what is really happening there. He commented that it is just a job, like any job. I really felt for him. 21 and clueless, in the throat os a monster...
I live a couple of miles from the Marin County Civic Center Farmers' Market, which feeds my little blogging hobby. Hell, it feeds me, too.
Formerly employed, I'm now a bum. Happy bum. Tomato ranchin' bum.
But I'm still mad.
