Blog Ennui Again, Ongoing

No, I don't mean "you" are the source of my ennui. Just couldn't resist a little Sluggo.
I've just been ripped up by the Occupy events. The last encampment of any size to be taken down, Occupy Boston, survived its deadline last night and people remained in Dewey Square. Seems the Bruins lost, and the cops were needed elsewhere. Ha!
I'm eating, but never anything pretty or ambitious. We have a few ideas in the fridge, though.
The weather is not killing me. The short days are fine. It's not raining. It's not depression; just ennui.
Besides, one of my favorite blog pals seems to have abandoned her blog (and this is fair warning, Ms. you-know-who-you-are). It's a little disheartening, because our time zones are too out of sync to Tweet with much overlap of awakeness.
I could blame her, couldn't I?
Ms. Redacted, you are the You in the Nancy cartoon.

I miss her blog posts too.
But isn't it nice to know she "bought a watch"!
;o)

Lee: I keep checking to see if she returned the watch. It has evil powers.

It's not the watch that's evil darlings! I'm BACK!

Me, too! I loved the watch the first time I saw it -not so thrilled with it now that I've checked frequently... So You Know Who You Are and we are all waiting!

Cookiecrumb, I know what you mean. I've been posting almost daily for three plus years and all my recipes have been made 3X and I'm not in the mood to be experimental.

I'm sure your squash is good - I made a good kabocha/apple/onion soup this week, but it was so similar to others I've written about that I didn't bother to write it up.

Still, I like to write.

Mouse: Yes, I know you are the evil one, but you bend to my desires! Bwahahaha! So good to see you, and... *read* you. xoxo

Zoomie: Precisely. I can't bear to write about another cheese sandwich. (Wait, have I ever? Yes.)
I like to write too, but I have nothing to write about. I'd better get out and mingle with the jingle.

Cookiecrumb, have you been to the Rombeiro Christmas House - I think in Novato? If not, that will mingle you with the jingle, big time, and give you something to write about. Whether it delights or appalls is in the beholder.

Me thinks a vacation is in order! Highly motivational.

I second a little getting out of your environs! It's been communications mess kinda week for me and after screaming in frustration and downing a few cocktails, I'm off to help one of my friends get their holiday chocolate orders out the door - a much needed distraction.
Unless you feel soft spots, your squash is fine. You also roast it in slices with some maple syrup, pecans (and a little chili something something if you're feeling spicy). I of course would also sprinkle some goat cheese when it came out of the oven...

Why not write about something else? You have the journalistic expertise and the word skills as well as the audience - it would be fabulous.

Zoomie: Haven't been; probably wouldn't go even if I was looking for material. I am a bit Grinchy! ;)

Greg: We're still coddling the two-year-old puppy. I'd hate to put her in a kennel for any reason. Besides, being retired IS a vacation!

Little P&P: I'm due for some distractions, sure. The dog is really good at staying home alone, so we can get a 3-4 hour window of escape. Trust me, my mood is fine. I just have blogging ennui.
You are a good friend to your chocolate friend; I hope there are rewards.

Nancy: Yes, I threaten to do that sometimes. The last thing I want, though, is to feel I've given myself an assignment. Too studied, too fake. I just want to navel gaze.

We may Occupy the Marin market in the morning. Tell Cranky to bring a tent.

Chilebrown: I wish he could bring a tent, so I could occupy it and not get so cold there. I'll occupy my bed.
Cranky will be there. :)
