Happy Us

This glass is 30 years old today.
It was a wedding gift. Form your own conclusions here; yes, I am old.
Today it's not filled with Perrier-Jouët, although that is the bubbly that accompanied the glasses (one has broken) in a nice, fine box back then. Today it's some sassy Taittinger stuff.
We drank it with the best lunch, which I will be dragging out until tomorrow.
Got to. Little giggly.

Happy anniversary!! Good for you two, that's a lot of years!

Yo, Dawg: We had a part of one year off for bad behavior. All is forgiven. It's a nice thing to strive for, even if it means you need Strivectin.
Thank you!

Happy anniversary! I have plenty of Domaine Carneros on hand if you need to giggle more.

Mazel! We're rapidly closing in on 20 ourselves. Well, from the first wedding.

Kailyn: Cranky has been doing mercy runs all day. Thank goodness we're eating well.

Denise: Thank you! hic.

Sean: Ohmahgoodness, 20? That's fidelity, no matter how many weddings.
Us, I guess I can't add the year from my first marriage to my total with this "new" guy.

Omnia vincit amor! Glad it's a beautiful day for your bubbly and you two.

Zoomie: We actually couldn't contrive a commercial date.

Kudzu: It's just ... Nice!

Happiest of Anniversaries! Relationships are tough work, so anyone who's gone the distance deserves that glass (bottle) of champagne to celebrate :-) Have a great day! Can't wait to hear about lunch.

Hurrah for anniversaries! xxxx to you both!

Congrats! Our 28th anniversary arrives in December. Nasal strips saved our marriage and kept me out jail. Besides, stripes make my butt look big and they won't let you interview and approve cell mates.

Congrats on 30 years! You two are a great couple.

Little Pots: Yeah, if by "work," you mean me shouting at him whenever he does something wrong. Because I never do anything wrong. ;)

Pink Granite: Aren't you a dear. Thank you, Lee.

Mouse: We're actually rather proud. Grazie. Xx

Simply: You're catching up with us! Keep going!

(curly)John(curly): Kreplach! (I don't know much Yiddish, and thanks!)

Kalyn: Awww. Thanks. Cranky and I talk about you all the time.

Sic transit gloria mundi. Oh wait, wrong quote. Well, felicitations on the anniversary and have a sip or two in honor of the next one.

cookiecrumb said...

Nancy: E pluribus unum! Thanks.

Zoomie said...

Non illegitimi carborundum. And that refers to Michele, not to you. :-)

cookiecrumb said...

Zoomie: She doesn't carborundum me. She's a bag of jokes!

Zoomie said...

I wish I could laugh but she's dangerous in my eyes, if only for her charisma. Lots of voters fall for a pretty face and false eyelashes, then discover that they have a female version of McCain on their hands.

Congrats!

cookiecrumb said...

Zoomie: She could get the GOP nomination, but she's unelectable. Don't worry.

Sandwich Life: Hi! Arigato gozaimasu!

Wow. The 27th is my anniversary, too. It would have been our 29th, but my other half was taken not quite ten years ago. Many happy returns of the day to you two. Enjoy every moment together!

cookiecrumb said...

Goodness, Cheryl. I'm sad for you, you were widowed far too young. I wish you happy, peaceful memories.
And thanks for the best wishes.

Congrats!!!

EB: Yo! Thank you. Full of proud.

Oh 30! Lovely! And you are not old, you are my age, I am fairly certain.

xxoo alecto

cookiecrumb said...

Alecto: OMG. How has it been going? Thanks for the kind wishes, and, kiddo, I am 61. Shock!

Nancy Ewart said...

61? No Way!!! But that makes me older than you - older, I said, not wiser.

Just had to add a shocked comment about the 61 years.

As far as Michelle B goes - another day, another pretty woman, another political disaster in the making. Why doesn't the GOP just have their own version of Miss/Ms/ Misses the boat America and stop messing around with the rest of us.

cookiecrumb said...

Nancy: I wonder whether this revelation will drive off readers. I think not. This is the first time I've declared my age.

Heather Jefferies said...

sorry, still not old. :-)

Alcyone: Yes, that's how it feels inside my brain. Thank you. My skin is all saggy, though, and that is sad. :D
