I was talking to my real mom last night and we decided that if she had really wanted to help the state, she could have just given the money to the state. Just think of all the jobs and services the state could have provided with that money.
At least we didn't vote for another Repug but I can't say the same for the rest of the country. Heavens knows what a mess two more years of gridlock will produce.
Kailyn: I wouldn't even have minded if she spent it on a couple of new villas in Spain. How dare she think the election comes with a "Buy It Now" button?

being an Aussie- had to check her out on Wiki. Anyone who doesn't take their democratic responsibility seriously for that long and then tries to use their wealth to gain power deserves quite a fair share of contempt. We have compulsory voting here and a well supported system to do it. Takes some of the shambles out of the game.
I like Kailyn's idea of Meg Whitman giving her money to the state. yeah!
Someone pointed out to me that she looks like the Quaker Oats guy. Weird but true, and would be mean if she weren't such a rat.
She'll need to clean her own house now. How will she ever find anyone to do it for her, having summarily fired the woman who worked for her for nine years. Didn't even offer to sponsor her for citizenship? I'm relieved that this cold woman was no elected despite her millions.
Kelly: I'm impressed you went and looked Whitman up. We really resented the idea that she thought she could just waltz in with her fortune. What's really wacky is that Jerry Brown, the guy who defeated her, was governor of CA once before, years ago. Sweet.

Just think of it as her bold effort to create her own, privatized stimulus for all those TV stations and bumper sticker printers. And who among us does not enjoy having our package stimulated?

I heard it was 160M, pretty insane with all the people who can't even feed their kids proper meals, even in California.
