More Ugly Food! (Ma Buono)

This is so hideous-looking, it needs a whole new name. Other than "corn pudding," which is what it is.
Made with fresh kernels shaved from a cob or two, and your basic milk-eggs-grated cheese. Seasonings, natch.
But then you gotta ugly it up. A big scoop of cooked black beans (drained well so you don't get gray streaks). Stir them in, bake, have a good laugh at this freckled mess.
It's not a side dish anymore.
Eat.
You will not laugh.
Well, maybe a little snicker. (And don't try shoving any beans up your nose! Not funny.)
Darn, I should have created a smiley face with the black beans. That might have been cuter.
Nah. Still ugly.

Where'd you get the fancy corns? I'm off to Calistoga in the morning and get corns from a guy with a field on the corner of some street out in the middle of nowhere.

My mother used to say, "Pretty is as pretty does." This doesn't look pretty but I'll bet it was pretty in the tummy. And, sure, why not get the Bieber look? Young, hip, goofy.

Biggles: Cranky's been scoring multicolored ears at the Marin Civic Center market. So good.
Happy Calistoga tomorrow. That's a long trip. Bring your cooler.

Zoomie: Knowing what we were eating, it felt pretty indeed.
Now, where to find a hairstylist who won't laugh me out of the salon? :)

I think the one oregano leaf takes it from hideous to beautiful!

Lannae: It might be the solution. I should have snipped pimientos and made a design with them (hate eating them, though) and piped cream cheese in frills all around the border! Pah!
