No Way! Yes, Way.

I must have been very, very good.
I think my screaming was louder than any noise the neighbors will ever hear.
Shiny. Pretty.
Decibels.

Cranky bought you a drum? You would be a sexy lead singer of "Marin Farmers Market Drum Corp"!

Ms. Krupa, I presume?

You will have to get together with Nicholas Petti's three-year-old drummer extraordinaire, who got a real (not toy) drum kit for his b'day.

I'm way impressed, but had no idea you harbored this passion.

Oh, please..... what is it?????

I swear, I have no clue!

Okay, I'll bite - what is it?

Chilebrown: Cranky had to promise the salesman at the store that I would never play in public.

Kudzu: In fact, I *was* bandying about the Krupa name yesterday. But truly, I aspire to Ringo.
(These passions tend to be catered to the older you get. I coulda been doing this a long time, but now it's important.)

Sally: Boy, then I guess you were never a groupie. It's a foot pedal, and it causes that puffy white knob to strike the bass drum, which is the reflective vertical item.

Zoomie: If I tape the Beatles' logo to the front of it, will you know what it is?

Okay, I'm stunned. Had no idea you were a drummer at heart. So many facets! How has Bartlett reacted to having a drummer in the family?

Zoomie: Bartlett is a brave girl. She doesn't mind at all. Soon she'll be shaking the maracas and singing backup.
(PS: This is *fantastic* exercise.)

HOW COOL!!!!!!

Well, you will have to upload some kind of a youtube of your performance with the new toy!

You do have many talents!

Sally: Talents? Just dumb courage. But, as Kudzu said, I guess it's been a passion.
Today I drummed "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Be My Baby."
The dog did freak a little; whoops.

To heck with the little drummer boy! My new heroine is the Drummer Lady of Marin County, she who grows tomatoes, has a great blog, is mom to an adorable puppy and ....now, can beat it out with the best of them! I am waiting for the uTube version of ...well, anything you care to do but Django and Grapelli would use a good female drummer. Move over Ringo- it's Ms. Cookie's version of Sargent Pepper and Good Day Sunshine.
Color me surprised but impressed.

Nancy: Ha ha! You'll laugh, but do you listen to John Mayer? He's an awesome guitar player, but his current gig is flirting with the young ladies. Sweet vocals, gentle guitar, very Beatles-y. I'm using it as inspiration.

I think cranky got them for you so you could play, then turn out the lights. I cain't remember, was that Travers?

xo, Biggles

Biggles: You mean play, then turn out the lights, then play? Loudly? Oh yeah.
