I'm SO happy...it even makes up for the whole Governator thing!

I'm just waiting on Virginia now. C'mon, guys...

The Rumsfeld resignation was long overdue yet still a surprise. And I have to say, I'm surprised (although delighted) that the Democrats did as well as they did. I'm always pessimistic about how elections are going to go.

And, Joanna, George Allen is not going to be the senator from Virgininia no matter how many times they recount those ballots. Although I guess he'll walk around pretending as if there's a chance until the end of the month.

All in all, a satisfying news day.

No champagne in the house, but I think I'll have a little drink myself. Woo Hoo. What a great day.

No martinis for me, or proseco, but hooray for living in a more blue country at the moment.

I think I celebrated by eating too much cake today.

I am too happy for words. I will start my celebrating tomorrow -- since Friday is a holiday and all.

AP just called it for Webb. Say it with me, now:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid!!

Wooot!

I think I may just open my bottle of chocolate port.

Enjoy the moment while we can, everyone, either with a butterscotch martini or spending all day in a bathrobe recovering from Schadenfreude Happy, Happy Election Day. The real struggle is just starting.

Yippie!!!

It was so nice to wake up the morning after elections and not be depressed. It's been a long time since that happened.

You had prosecco, we had cava. A little too much cava, probably. :-)

Hazzah!!!

The butterscotch martini . . . shaken or stirred? That's what happened to the White House!

Tootles,
Anni :-)
