I'm sorry. The Eat Local Challenge is proving so easy because of Northern California's bounty. I'm not going to brag anymore about my meals. (But since it's hard to tell from this picture, that's a stuffed bell pepper.)
If I do something interesting, like wild and crazy foraging or growing my own cacao plant, maybe I'll talk about that.
Well, I do just want to boast that we made sangria from 100% local ingredients.
Happy Cinco.
So, hey, how about CIA Director Porter Goss resigning today after only a year and a half on the job? Stinky, nasty rumors surround him; maybe he thinks he can dodge a bullet.
Olé!

I heard Goss resigned to spend time with Andy Card's children. Oh, wait. That was Scott McClellan.
Your bounty makes me weep with envy. Barely anything's ripe up here yet and I still don't know what the heck I want to do about this ELC month.
::glares at own neglected blog. kicks it. makes it behave. fails miserably. makes a cup of tea instead.::
Mrs. D: You just do what you can. If you can't do a huge Eat Local, why then, you tear down this idiotic administration. Locally!
Wait. Tea? Hm. Not local.
(But still decidedly in my diet.)
But. Salmon. Eulachons. Wapati.
:D
Tea? Heh. It's cinco de mayo. I switched to Corona and lime. So, so not local.
We'll make up for it by drinking locally brewed IPAs at the pub later tonight.
Sadly, I don't think anyone harvests wapato around here anymore.
OK. Mm. Wapato. Spelled it wrong... (But your dad knew how to spell it!!)
We have tons of cattails around here, and I understand they have good roots that you have to work pretty hard at harvesting. So me too, I'm not wading into unknown mud. Scratch cattails off the local list.
But. It is sad. That no one harvests the local loot.
Go. Get your ale.
xx
Hah! I just figured wapati was the plural. Or would that be wapataii? Or wapatoses? Wapatice?
Sheesh. Can you tell I'm dinking around before Chopper gets off work? Some time this weekend I'll be inspired to post again. Trips out of town always do this to me.
Well, that and sex scandals in DC. Man, there's some juicy dirt over on Kos these days...
Hoochiegate!
