1: Good bread. Do not cheat.
2: Iceberg lettuce. Do not snob out.
3: Mayonnaise.
4: Sliced breast meat. Save the dark meat for soup or a casserole or hot turkey sandwiches with gravy.
5: Salt and pepper. Of course.
6: A smoodge of homemade cranberry sauce.
The only reason this sandwich survived long enough to have its picture taken is because it was my second sandwich.
You will need napkins.

Good to see you managed to get 2 of those down. It looks great. Wish I could have shared one with you. I'm a new-found mayo fan. It used to gross me out, but there's really no substitute for it...
[homer style droolin...]arrrrrgggghhhhhhhh....
And I was just telling myself I could skip lunch because I wasn't really hungry. And me with that sliced breast meat calling from downstairs. We had our turkey dinner way late, too, or it would be gone, gone, gone by now.
Thanks for the post, you sadist. :G:
Mayonnaise is your friend.
(Not salad cream, eh Monkey Gland?)
And I was going to make a tortilla pie tonight with turkey, sour cream, cheese and a sack of my dad's homegrown peppers... But (like the turkey) I'm stuffed.
Boiling up a big pot o' broth from the carcass now.
I can't believe you actually admitted that was your second sandwich. (Great idea! I couldn't believe I was letting a fabulous BLT--last of the season, at that--get cold just so I could take a freakin' picture of it)
Your sandwich looks awesome. And I sure hope it's okay if I steal the phrase "snob out." Love it. (Yes, my dinner salad tonight contained freshly picked chard from the garden AND iceberg from the scary supermarket. : )
God Cookiecrumb, I don't know how you get me to admit these kinds of things over here. I hope nobody I know reads your blog. LOL. Maybe I should be using a secret identity.
May I please have a sandwich with extra mayo? Thank you kindly
I have a friend who has Salad Cream with everything, absolutly everything. Actually if you make it yourself it's the good stuff, the stuff in jars scares with willies out of me (except on cold pizza, where it is manna from heaven)
I too agree that sandwich looks beautiful! I'd like to see a painting of it :)
