I found one in my collection; it had been shoved way to the back and I forgot about it.

Shuna: I'm very fond of an Orleans method Champagne vinegar from Kitchen Line, but it's been hard to find. It may have gone out of production. Right now I'm reveling in a Spanish sherry vinegar. Rice vinegar is always on hand, and there's a teensy bottle of 12-year-old balsamic. The rest is mediocre, although there's usually one good reason or another to have plain white vinegar in the house. Oh, and my homemade apple cider vinegar and homemade "champagne" (Freixenet) vinegars are actually pretty good.

Stacie: As long as your children are sub-height, your upper cupboards should be safe. I bought it back when 1) I thought it was too cool for school, and 2) therefore it was expensive, so I sort of hate it. Heh. Stupid, I know. But it's almost empty.
I think your collection is not "woefully smaller," it's "wonderfully smarter." You know, I usually don't skimp on oils and vinegars, but I just bought some Trader Joe's white balsamic vinegar (dirt cheap at $1.69) which is really good and great for times when you don't want that brown color all over everything. Have you ever tried it?Susan from Food Bloggahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11034518858688958369noreply@blogger.com
